Passed this place multiple times riding my bike and decided to stop in. The coffee here is amazing and they have some unique drinks with their own house made syrups. I got the Firestarter that has cinnamon, tangerine extract, ancho chili, and red pepper flakes. It starts sweet and gives you a kick of heat. Loved it. Also tried one of their locally-made pop tarts. Huge fan of the 80’s and horror movie decor. Also love that it’s connected to the record store next door.
This coffee/tea spot is pretty unique. It has lots of cool decorations and memorabilia without being cluttered or messy looking. The staff is incredibly friendly. I love how they use random mugs for everyone’s drinks.
Also- bonus points to any place that serves Beacon Donuts.
First time here, had a chai and soaked up the atmosphere. Love the old movie memorabilia, the friendly staff, the comfy orange couch that gives me a great opportunity to people watch.
Learned about this place earlier this year, and have not stopped going since! I keep bringing friends and family! My favorite is of course their coffee and vegan donuts!!!
Stopped in to check out this horror/monster themed coffee spot. It had a great vibe and didn't scare me away. There are some cool murals and memorabilia to check out while there. I ordered a hot latte while I was there and enjoyed the murals while charging my phone. Definitely recommend stopping by and checking this place out.
Blast from the past coffee shop that exudes character and colors. Simple menu with baked goods, Half Wit coffee. The highlights for me are the plentiful booths and the bar in the back with tons of outlets and space for the digital nomads. Friendly staff and record store next door cap our awesome experience here
For all the King Kong fans, the Skull Island at The Brewed horror-themed coffee shop in Chicago is a sweet treat. With Halfwit medium roast espresso, oat milk, banana purée syrup, and vegan chocolate sauce, this dessert just might make you go bananas for more coffee.
On the corner of Dawson & Milwaukee and open daily until 7pm, there’s nothing scary about this shop… Except perhaps how barista/cashier Jason had scary great vibes.
They have plenty of indoor seating, including retro booths you’d expect from a comic diner. With characters coming from the ceiling and Halloween decor spread throughout the shop, you’re in for an interesting experience.
